This has since been archived and its scope was only limited to the design jam. That being said we have kept it in our documentation as this implementation can easily form the backbone of our backend system - which will help us track all the data and metrics of current EcoGo users.

Background

Web application frameworks provide so many useful features nowadays that make developers able to create web applications capable of providing all the features that native mobile apps are able to provide.

Also, due to the limited time of design jam, developing a mobile application was not possible. Hence, a web application was developed.

Goals

The main purpose of this prototype was to show the possibility of implementing features in terms of technical aspects. The core features to show for this prototype was:

• Interaction with Google Maps including directions for walking and driving and searching for a location.
• Real time data generation and data analysis in the format of plots.
• Ranking cards for competition.
• Player's status, level, and badges.
• A fully responsive application compatible with any screen sizes (Desktops, Tablets, Mobile, etc.)
